Did this painting while visiting my parents last week. Painted at Kryart Studio [link] This is acrylic on canvas done in the impressionist style.

I really like this piece. I can easily see you spent a lot of time on this. This scene definitely gives off an ominous feel to it especially the way you made out the moon. I personally don't see much bad with this work because I think the focus is really on the background and with all the buildings drawn at various heights, it makes the viewer look at the foreground and then all around.

If I really had to critique anything it'd probably be the far far background. I think to help show atmospheric perspective, it would have been a good idea to give a very light wash of grey so it appears like its fogging out into the background. Does that make sense? That's the only the thing that stands out to me but otherwise I think this is very good and very deserving of your efforts!

Honestly I really love the details you put on further pagodas, the sky, and reflections, but I don't really like the big one on the front. Not because it's mostly pitch black but the shape is too cluttered that make it seem not like a pagoda at all. I believe if the big shape in the front is fixed, the painting will be far more beautiful =) I love impressionism, I hope you will do this more often =D
